Swizzle Raises ₹2 Cr Seed Funding to Scale Clean-Label D2C Beverage Brand

Swizzle, a clean-label beverage startup in India, secured ₹2 crore in seed funding after presenting on IdeaBaaz, an entrepreneurship show.

This funding shows that investors are interested in purpose-driven, clean-label brands in India that have good stories and can grow. The seed round was led by Sooraj Singh from Unibots and Shaili Chopra from SheThePeople and Gytree, which shows that angel investors are key to helping early-stage consumer brands grow.

This money comes at a good time for Swizzle, as they want to grow in Tier I cities and increase their presence across different sales channels. Vrinda Singhal and Deepender Singh founded Swizzle in Bengaluru. They sell ready-to-drink beverages made with real fruits and herbs, without artificial flavors, colors, or additives. The brand focuses on wellness, transparency, and convenience, which are important in shaping market trends and consumer behavior.

The company plans to use the funding to increase production, expand distribution, and strengthen its presence in retail and HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, and catering) sectors. Swizzle plans to start in Hyderabad this quarter and then grow to other Tier I cities. They aim to increase their availability both in stores and online, through modern retail, vending machines, quick-commerce platforms, and HoReCa partnerships over the next 12–18 months.

A key area is increasing production. Swizzle aims to increase its capacity from 250 liters per day to 2,000 liters per day, allowing them to produce up to 40,000 cans daily. This is important for keeping up with demand as they expand to new markets and channels.

In addition to increasing capacity, Swizzle will invest in its sales, operations, and marketing teams. They also plan to introduce new products, like lower-priced PET bottles and a low-calorie lemonade, to attract more customers while keeping their clean-label promise.

Swizzle’s success shows that brands that gain media attention can turn that attention into funding and partnerships. The IdeaBaaz appearance helped them gain funding and showed that their brand and market potential are strong in a competitive beverage market.

The demand for healthier, non-alcoholic drinks is growing in India due to urbanization, higher incomes, and more awareness of ingredients. Swizzle’s focus on clean labels and its business model fit well with what consumers and investors want.

Swizzle’s ₹2 crore seed round is notable because of its size and clear growth plans. With plans to expand to new cities, increase production, and diversify its products, Swizzle is in a good position to become one of the fastest-growing beverage brands in India.
