iD Fresh Food has entered the packaged snacks category, marking a significant step in its evolution from a fresh food brand into a broader branded foods company as it prepares for an eventual public listing.
The company has launched a range of around seven snack products made using ingredients such as ragi and oats. The portfolio includes masala ragi chips, pudina ragi bhujia, masala oats chips, pudina oats bhujia, corn flakes mixture, all-in-one mixture and butter murukku.
The launch takes iD Fresh into India’s nearly ₹50,000 crore packaged savoury snacks market, expanding the brand beyond the idli-dosa batter business it is best known for. Over time, the company has broadened its portfolio into adjacent categories including protein batter, pancakes, thepla, chutneys, protein-based chapatis and parotas.
The latest expansion also places iD Fresh within the growing healthy snacking opportunity in India. The country’s healthy snacks market was valued at $3.13 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $4.77 billion by 2034, supported by rising health consciousness and demand for convenient, high-protein and natural food products.
The packaged snacks foray comes as iD Fresh strengthens the infrastructure required for its next phase of growth. Earlier this year, the company commissioned a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The facility has strengthened its domestic capacity, which the company has said is sufficient to support growth for the next five years.
Internationally, iD Fresh continues to expand through trading partnerships rather than establishing manufacturing facilities. Its operations currently span the US, UK, Ireland, Canada and Singapore. The company has also previously indicated plans to add 10-15 new SKUs annually as it builds a wider branded foods portfolio, while remaining selective about categories after exiting bread and spices following pilot launches.
Alongside product and market expansion, iD Fresh is also strengthening its governance structure as part of its IPO readiness. The company recently elevated co-founders Jafar TK and Shamshudeen TK to its Board of Directors.
With a new packaged snacks portfolio, expanded manufacturing capacity, international operations and a growing pipeline of product launches, iD Fresh is entering a new phase of scale. Its move into snacks reflects a broader ambition to build a diversified branded foods business beyond its core fresh food categories.
