The profitable controlled-environment agriculture company is expanding farm capacity, securing institutional funding and preparing for a wider southern India presence.
Nutrifresh, an Indian controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) company, reported revenue of ₹219.3 crore in FY26, marking a 51% increase from ₹145.2 crore in FY25. The company is targeting ₹400 crore in FY27, supported by expanding farm capacity, institutional funding and growing demand from quick-commerce platforms, modern retailers and hospitality businesses.

Founded in 2019, Nutrifresh has remained profitable every year since incorporation, distinguishing its business model in India’s CEA sector. The company currently operates 83 acres of farmland and has another 105 acres under construction at Warwadi and Pisavare near Pune. These additions are expected to significantly increase productive capacity.
In FY26, Nutrifresh and Rural Enhancers Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Maharashtra government for a 1,000-acre smart-agriculture project. The company also secured a ₹90 crore first tranche from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), forming part of a proposed ₹400 crore investment to expand its CEA infrastructure.
Nutrifresh supplies more than 100 high-volume business customers across hotels, restaurants, modern retail and quick commerce. Its clients include Swiggy, Zepto, Flipkart Minutes, BigBasket, Reliance Fresh, Nature’s Basket, IHCL and Taj SATS. Its produce reaches customers across 15 Indian states, as well as the UAE, Maldives and Singapore.
The company employs more than 650 people. Women account for 60% of its workforce, including 80% of farm-level employees and over 43% of leadership positions.
For FY27, Nutrifresh expects its productive footprint to roughly triple and is preparing for geographical expansion across southern India. It is also scaling its Joint Farming model, partnering with farmers who cultivate produce on their own land. This approach allows the company to expand production without equivalent capital investment in owned farms, while creating opportunities for farmers. Its long-term ambition is to support more than 25,000 farmers.
Co-founder, CEO and Whole-Time Director Sanket Mehta attributed the company’s growth to its proximity to urban markets, business-to-business distribution and crop-specific technology investments. CFO and Whole-Time Director Ganesh Nikam highlighted disciplined capital allocation, investor backing and partnerships as key enablers of expansion.
With rising revenue, additional farmland and institutional funding, Nutrifresh is positioning itself to scale profitable, technology-led agriculture while strengthening its supply network.
