Strokes by Namrata Mehta Raises ₹3.3 Cr to Scale D2C Business

The lifestyle brand will use the funding to strengthen operations, expand distribution and grow its presence across India.

Strokes by Namrata Mehta, an Indian lifestyle brand specialising in bags and accessories, has raised ₹3.3 crore from actor and investor Shriyam Bhagnani. The funding will support the brand’s operational expansion, strengthen distribution and help scale its business across India.

Founded in 2020 by Namrata Mehta, Strokes operates in the consumer lifestyle segment, offering handbags, totes, work bags and slings. The brand follows a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, selling through its own website alongside online marketplaces and offline retail outlets. This multi-channel approach enables it to reach customers through digital platforms while building an offline presence.

The fresh capital comes as Strokes looks to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its distribution network. The investment is also associated with the Deepak Bhagnani Family Office, with Deepak Bhagnani highlighting the brand’s product offering and potential to expand its market presence.

For a D2C lifestyle brand, strengthening distribution and operations can support wider customer reach as the business grows. Strokes plans to build on its existing operations and scale across India’s consumer lifestyle market, with the latest funding providing support for its next phase of expansion.

The brand also differentiates itself through its cruelty-free approach. In addition to its commercial activities, Strokes contributes a portion of its website sales towards feeding and providing medical care for stray animals, integrating an animal-welfare initiative into its direct sales model.

Strokes has not disclosed its valuation or specific financial targets following the fundraising. The extent of the investment allocated to individual areas, including product development, distribution and operations, has also not been specified.

With funding secured, the brand’s immediate priorities include strengthening its operational capabilities, expanding its reach and building on its presence across online and offline channels. Its progress will depend on how effectively it converts the investment into broader distribution and sustained consumer demand.

The ₹3.3 crore raise marks a step in Strokes by Namrata Mehta’s growth journey as it seeks to scale its D2C lifestyle business and reach more consumers across India.
