abcoffee Partners with Cityflo to Redefine Urban Transit with India’s First On-Bus Coffee Delivery Experience

abcoffee, a fast-growing direct-to-consumer startup, is teaming up with Cityflo to test a service that lets bus riders order coffee ahead of time and get it during their trip. This is a first for India, bringing food and drink service to ground transportation. It’s starting on some routes in Mumbai.

This partnership shows how mobility and lifestyle services are coming together. Direct-to-consumer brands are finding new ways to reach customers. By adding coffee delivery to bus trips, abcoffee and Cityflo are changing everyday commutes into something special, like what you might expect on a plane or train.

Rushabh Shah, from Cityflo, said that ordering food and drinks in advance is normal on flights and trains, so it should be available on buses too. He added that they’re making the bus feel like a café.

Abhijeet Anand, founder of abcoffee, wants to make good coffee easy to get, not just in cafés. This test is a big step in that direction. Abcoffee has been changing India’s coffee scene with its quick, mobile-friendly approach, appealing to young workers who want good coffee fast. Anand mentioned that they want to turn everyday travel into a nice moment.

This partnership shows how direct-to-consumer food and beverage brands are mixing convenience with experience. With the café market in India getting more competitive, abcoffee’s strategy, which includes kiosks, mobile orders, and now in-transit delivery, shows how brands are rethinking traditional retail with a digital focus.

Looking ahead, we might see more partnerships between transportation companies and direct-to-consumer brands. People are valuing experiences and personalization more. By using Cityflo’s commuter network, abcoffee can reach a specific group of customers. This could lead to similar partnerships with quick commerce, wellness, and sustainable brands.

This pilot program shows how direct-to-consumer brands are trying out new offline ideas. It gives us a peek into the future, where your coffee shop meets your commute.

The pilot is currently running for a month, with plans to expand. It’s a sign of how direct-to-consumer companies are changing to reach customers wherever they are. This move helps abcoffee stand out as a leading brand and changes what we think of as comfort in city life.
