Barista Coffee, that coffee chain we all know, is speeding up plans to get bigger. They want to have 800–900 shops by 2030. They’re really looking at smaller towns and trying some new things to grow the business. This means Barista wants to be everywhere you are, both online and in real life, which is smart since the food and drink scene in India is blowing up.

Coffee shops are getting popular outside the big cities, so Barista is changing its plans to match what people want. People in smaller cities want good stuff that’s not too expensive and easy to get. Right now, Barista is adding about 50–60 shops a year. Some are run by the company, and some are franchises. This way, they can grow without spending too much money and keep all the shops feeling the same.
Barista is still all over cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata, but it’s growing faster in smaller cities. It’s cheaper to rent places, and the shops make more money. A lot of brands in India are doing this because they can make more money in these smaller places.
Besides coffee shops, Barista is also pushing its coffee vending machine thing. They started two years ago and already have around 500 machines in offices and other places. People seem to like them, so Barista thinks they can get up to 5,000 machines in the next five years. That would really help their sales. It means Barista is selling coffee everywhere – when you’re out and about or at work.
The coffee market in India is worth around ₹6,000 crore and is growing fast because more young people are drinking coffee more often. Barista wants to take advantage of this by being in lots of different places and selling coffee at different prices.
Barista thinks they can make around ₹400 crore in sales by 2026, and that includes what the franchise shops make. They’re trying to grow without spending too much and keeping costs down, which is a good way to do business in India right now.
Basically, Barista is changing to fit the times. They want to be a brand you can find anywhere, whether it’s in a store, at work, or online. With these plans to grow in smaller towns and sell more coffee with vending machines, Barista Coffee is trying to be a strong player in the Indian food and drink world.
