Decode Age Raises $1.7 Mn Pre-Series A to Scale Longevity Science and Precision Health from India

Decode Age, a longevity science startup in Bengaluru, has secured Rs 14.48 crore (about $1.7 million) in pre-Series A funding. The round was led by Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, Chairman and MD of Granules India, signaling investor confidence in science-backed health ventures from India’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) sector.

Established in 2021, Decode Age focuses on aging biology, biomarkers, gut microbiome science, and precision health. They aim to make aging-related biological data measurable and usable for people, doctors, and researchers through testing and research-based solutions.

The new funds will go towards growing Decode Age’s biomarker programs, strengthening its research pipeline, and upgrading its infrastructure. The company is also investing in research-backed supplements and solutions for key aging areas like metabolism, inflammation, and cognitive health. This fits into the D2C market trends that consumers want data-driven and personalized health options.

Decode Age has created a platform that integrates gut microbiome analysis and biomarker research. Their systems are designed to deliver insights that can support long-term health, instead of just reactive care. By mixing science with a customer-focused approach, the company is building a position among D2C wellness startups and health brands in India.

Beyond India, Decode Age is working towards global relevance by working with academic groups and international projects, to make sure its microbiome and aging data meet global standards, boosting its trustworthiness with scientists and investors. Decode Age plans to grow its science, analytics, and product teams to support scale and international goals.

This funding adds to D2C funding activity and news in India, showing how investors are supporting platforms that combine good science with customer applications. With more awareness of preventive care and personalized wellness, Decode Age’s model works well with changing D2C behavior in India, where trust and results are key to decisions.

As Decode Age invests in research and product innovation, it is set to become a leader in longevity science from India. This pre-Series A round strengthens it financially and shows confidence in India’s ability to create science-first D2C brands in health and wellness that can compete globally.
