ID Fresh Food Pvt. Ltd., a well-known Indian D2C food and beverage company, has posted impressive gains in both revenue and profit for FY25.The company, known for its ready-to-cook items like idli-dosa batter, chapatis, and parottas, saw a 22% increase in revenue, reaching ₹681.38 crore, up from ₹557.85 crore in the previous year. This jump shows strong demand and better market reach.
What’s impressive is the company’s tenfold increase in net profit, which rose to ₹50.75 crore from ₹4.43 crore in FY24. This profit increase was helped by a ₹24.89 crore deferred tax credit. But even without this, the rise in revenue shows that the brand is growing its customer base and managing its operations well.
Founded in 2005, ID Fresh Food has become a top D2C brand in India, pioneering the direct-to-consumer model long before it was popular. The brand has earned consumer trust with its fresh, preservative-free products. About 90% of its revenue still comes from India, but exports to the UAE, US, and Singapore are growing, showing plans for global growth.
Despite revenue growth, total expenses rose 19% to ₹661.49 crore, mainly due to higher material and manufacturing costs, which were ₹332 crore. Employee expenses also increased to ₹143.9 crore, and marketing and logistics costs reached ₹170.17 crore, as the company continues to invest in its brand and supply chain. Still, profit before tax more than doubled to ₹26.73 crore, thanks to good operations.
The company’s balance sheet shows financial caution, which is rare for a fast-growing D2C business. Total debt was just ₹1.87 crore, while cash reserves rose to ₹99.22 crore, improving its financial stability. ID Fresh’s total assets grew 38% to ₹320.25 crore, showing ongoing investments in manufacturing and supply chain.
Observers say that ID Fresh Food’s performance shows how D2C food and beverage brands can maintain growth through customer-focused improvements and scalable operations. With operating cash flows of ₹33.36 crore and capital expenditure of ₹28.28 crore, mostly reinvested in plant upgrades, the company continues to fund its own growth.
As India’s D2C industry matures, ID Fresh Food is a great example of sustainable growth, combining the speed of startups with the structure of an established company. With solid fundamentals, expanding product lines, and growing international reach, the brand is in a good spot to remain a top D2C brand, shaping the future of food innovation in India.
