Interio by Godrej Expands With 22,000 sq. ft Flagship Store in Mumbai, Targets 1,500 Stores by FY29 to Strengthen Omnichannel D2C Strategy

Godrej Interio is moving forward with its D2C plans, having just launched a 22,000 sq. ft flagship store in Vikhroli, Mumbai. This store will showcase modular and custom furniture, alongside new lines like gaming, outdoor, and kids’ furniture. This move shows the brand’s fresh take on design, aiming to improve Indian homes and workspaces with new ideas and quality.

Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director at Godrej Enterprises Group, said the Vikhroli store is about bringing design and craft together. She added that Interio is creating a new style for Indian homes and offices that is flexible and unique. This highlights the brand’s change from a regular retail furniture business to an up-to-date D2C lifestyle brand in India’s growing D2C market.

Interio by Godrej has over 1,000 stores in India and five factories. They want to grow to 1,500 stores by FY29. Swapneel Nagarkar, Business Head and Executive Vice President at Interio, said they are using the new flagship store to get closer to people who see their homes as a way to express themselves.
