Interio by Godrej, which is part of the Godrej Enterprises Group and handles home and office furniture, wants to grow its kitchen stuff by about 10% each year for the next 5 years. This shows they’re doing well in India’s home design scene and are pretty sure things will keep looking up, both in big cities and smaller towns.

The kitchen and dining furniture market in India should hit $251.32 million by 2025 and keep growing at about 2.28% every year until 2030. Interio by Godrej plans to do even better than that by coming up with new products, getting into more markets, and making their supply chain bigger. Their plan involves having 250 kitchen showrooms in 120 cities, and their factory in Khalapur, Maharashtra, can now make up to 250 kitchens a day.
A big reason for this growth is that people in smaller cities and towns are spending more on kitchens that not only look good but also last and work well. According to Dev Narayan Sarkar, who’s in charge of the consumer business at Interio by Godrej, kitchens in India are changing. They used to be just for cooking, but now they’re a way for people to show off their style, make things easier, and get value for their money. You can see this in the numbers because 35% of Interio’s kitchen sales are from smaller cities now, while it was only 2% last year.
To make things easier online and in stores, Interio has a Kitchen Configurator on their website. It uses 3D tech, so people can see how different kitchens would look with different layouts and designs before they buy. There are ready-made options for common kitchen styles, starting at ₹1.25 lakh, and customers can also talk to local dealers for custom plans based on their space and any construction limits. This shows that Interio wants to mix the ease of online shopping with real-world help.
Coming up with new products is a big part of Interio’s plan to grow sales directly and through stores. One of their main products is Steel Chef, which is a fancy steel kitchen range. It’s made for Indian cooking and is built to last, look good, and be customizable. Besides the main cabinets, Interio also makes things like smart chimneys, tall corner units, storage units, and tall pull-out units to fix common storage problems in Indian kitchens.
What people like also affects the designs, with L-shaped kitchens being the most popular because they use space well and fit in different apartment sizes. Interio’s modular kitchens are made to be quick and easy to put together in about 5–7 days, which is way faster than kitchens made by carpenters. This fast install time is a big plus for people who want things done quickly and reliably.
Interio by Godrej wants to use new trends like smart home tech, sustainable materials, nature-inspired designs, and furniture that does more than one thing to stay ahead in the changing furniture market. With a big factory, more stores, and growing sales in smaller towns, Interio’s kitchen business is becoming a key part of the company’s growth in India.
