Bengaluru‑based electric motorcycle maker Oben Electric has completed its Series A funding round at ₹100 crore, securing an additional ₹50 crore in May 2025 on top of the ₹50 crore raised in January—bringing its total financing to ₹200 crore .

The extended round featured participation from both new and existing investors, including Helios Holdings, the Sharda family office, and the Kay family—reinforcing confidence in Oben’s products, execution capacity, and long-term vision.
Oben plans to deploy the fresh funds to ramp up its growth strategy. This includes opening over 150 showrooms across more than 50 cities by the end of FY26, scaling operations at its Bengaluru manufacturing plant, and enhancing its after-sales service network. The company will also invest in accelerating the development of its forthcoming ‘O100’ electric motorcycle platform, aimed at offering affordable EV solutions under ₹1 lakh.
Since its initial Series A close, Oben has already launched 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states—including Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha—highlighting its operational momentum. The company boasts a vertically integrated manufacturing setup, producing key components like LFP batteries, motors, and vehicle control units in‑house. Its Bengaluru factory has an annual production capacity of 100,000 units, supported by a robust domestic supply chain.
Madhumita Agrawal, Co‑Founder and CEO, stated: “The extended Series A funding is a strong vote of confidence from our investors… We’re expanding our retail footprint and building platforms like O100 to democratize electric motorcycles for the mass market.” Sandesh from the Sharda family office emphasized that Oben’s full‑stack integration of EV components and strong product‑market fit position it to build India’s first global electric motorcycle brand.
Looking ahead, Oben Electric aims to raise approximately US $30 million in a Series B round later in 2025. The new funds will support international market expansion, increased production capacity, and further product innovation—fulfilling its vision of becoming a “Designed in India for the World” EV brand
