SkinInspired, a skincare brand based in Udaipur, just got $2.9 million (₹24 crore) in a Series A funding round! This is a big step for them in the growing direct-to-consumer market in India. Spring Marketing Capital led the round, and Lotus Herbals Beauty Innovation Fund and Arihant Patni also joined in. Unilever Ventures, who already invested before, put in money again.

This new funding comes less than a year after SkinInspired got ₹12.25 crore in a seed round in July 2024, which Unilever Ventures also led. With this Series A, SkinInspired can now grow even faster in the quickly growing skincare market in India. It’s a very competitive area right now.
Piyush Jain, who used to work in FMCG, and Dr. Prashant Agrawal, a skin doctor, started SkinInspired in 2022. They want to make products that are both clinically tested and good for customers. Instead of just following trends, they work with skin doctors to make skincare products that work. This focus on product quality has helped them get noticed in the crowded beauty and skincare space.
The money they just raised will go towards three main things. First, SkinInspired wants to do research and create new products, focusing on formulas that are tested and honest about their ingredients. Second, they will put money into building their brand and teaching consumers about skincare so people will trust them more. Third, SkinInspired will grow their team and get their products into more places, both online and in select stores.
Right now, SkinInspired works with over 200 skin doctors across India. These doctors are very important for creating products and building trust. People keep buying their products again and again, which shows that they have found a good market fit.
Several angel investors are also backing the startup.
This Series A round for SkinInspired shows that investors are still interested in premium, science-backed brands in India. As the personal care market gets more competitive with new startups and changing consumer habits, brands that combine medical knowledge with good brand stories will likely succeed in the long run.
With this new money, a strong foundation in dermatology, and customers who keep coming back, SkinInspired is trying to become a big player in the Indian skincare market. They want to focus on results, trust, and growth that lasts, instead of just short-term fads.
