Snabbit Acquihires Pync Founding Team to Accelerate Scale in India’s Quick Home Services Market

Snabbit, a fast-growing home services platform, just bought the team behind Pync to get better at growing, running things, and being a leader in India’s fast-changing on-demand services scene. This move shows that companies in India’s D2C world are joining forces and bringing in talented people, since speed, being dependable, and doing a great job are what really help a company grow.

Pync’s founders Harsh Prateek, Mayank S, and Dev Priyam are joining Snabbit as senior leaders in operations and business. This should make Snabbit better at getting things done as it grows its home services all over urban India. This fits with what’s happening in India’s D2C world, where companies are more interested in having strong leaders and being good at operations.

Pync, started in 2023, began as a subscription car-cleaning service before switching to home services. Even though it only worked in Bengaluru, it got popular quickly, serving over 25,000 homes and managing over 1,000 service people. Pync had gotten almost $2 million in funding from Accel, Bharat Founders Fund, and Betterindustries.

According to Harsh Prateek, one of Pync’s founders, the deal happened because the two teams have similar ways of doing things. He said that both companies think the same way about customer experience and doing things well. By adding Pync’s know-how to Snabbit’s growth, the teams think they can grow faster and make their service more reliable everywhere.

This deal is happening at a good time for Snabbit. The company is talking about raising a much bigger funding round of about $100 million. Snabbit has already raised over $25 million from Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, which makes it one of the companies with the most money in the home services area.

With the new talent and the expected funding, Snabbit should be able to compete better against companies like Urban Company and newer ones like Pronto. As the competition gets tougher, Snabbit is paying attention to leadership, doing things well, and customer experience, which shows what’s important in the D2C market right now: being good at operations.

In general, this deal shows that India’s D2C startups are using buying talent to grow for the long haul. For Snabbit, bringing in Pync’s founding team is about more than just getting bigger; it’s about creating a strong platform that can lead the way in India’s home services and D2C world.
