Charcoal Concepts is entering a new phase of growth with an ambitious expansion strategy aimed at building one of India’s strongest multi-brand restaurant platforms. In one of the notable Indian D2C updates and D2C business India stories, the K Hospitality-backed company has unveiled plans to expand its portfolio to more than 250 outlets by 2033, led by newly appointed CEO Rohan Sable, a hospitality veteran with nearly three decades of experience.
As part of its long-term D2C expansion plans, the company intends to open approximately 20 restaurants every year, strengthening flagship brands including Copper Chimney, Bombay Brasserie, Bombay Borough, and Wagamama. Today, the portfolio includes 21 Copper Chimney outlets in India, one in London, two in Kuwait, 11 Bombay Brasserie restaurants, and Bombay Borough locations in Dubai and Colombo. The company currently has five projects under execution and four more in various stages of planning, highlighting a strong growth pipeline.
Sable believes 2026 will be a defining year for the business as it focuses on building a scalable multi-brand ecosystem through operational excellence, disciplined execution, and consistent brand building. His strategy emphasizes creating stronger consumer experiences while laying the foundation for sustainable long-term growth across India and international markets. This aligns with broader D2C market trends 2025, where premium consumer brands are investing in expansion, operational efficiency, and differentiated customer experiences.
Beyond adding new outlets, Charcoal Concepts is also investing in brand transformation. The company is revamping Bombay Brasserie while giving Copper Chimney a refreshed identity with updated menus, improved service standards, and new formats. A new Copper Club concept is set to launch in Delhi’s Connaught Place, reflecting the company’s continued focus on innovation and evolving consumer preferences. The business is also expanding beyond metro cities into emerging markets, reinforcing its long-term D2C go-to-market strategy and premium positioning.
Looking further ahead, Sable expects the broader restaurant portfolio to reach 400–450 outlets over the next eight years as additional brands such as Irish House, Joshh, and Nando’s continue to grow. He also indicated that achieving ₹1,500–2,000 crore in revenue by 2033 could open future opportunities, including potential external funding, although no formal plans have been announced.
As premium hospitality brands continue scaling across India, Charcoal Concepts stands out as a compelling D2C brand building story driven by disciplined expansion, operational strength, and a long-term vision. The development adds to the growing momentum across the D2C ecosystem India, making it another noteworthy addition to D2C news India, D2C daily news, and D2C industry news.
