Fizzy Goblet Gets Strategic Investment from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Accelerate Growth

D2C footwear and accessories brand Fizzy Goblet has onboarded Kareena Kapoor Khan as a strategic investor, deepening a partnership that began nearly four years ago when the actor became the brand’s ambassador in April 2022. The financial details of the investment were not disclosed.

The move comes as Fizzy Goblet accelerates its offline and online expansion across India while preparing for further international growth. Kapoor’s role will now extend beyond brand endorsement, with the actor participating in the design selection process and helping strengthen awareness for the brand across domestic and global markets.

Founded in 2013 by Laksheeta Govil, Fizzy Goblet has built its identity around footwear and accessories designed and manufactured in India. The brand began with traditional Indian footwear, including juttis and kolhapuris, before expanding into a wider lifestyle portfolio spanning heels, loafers, sneakers, workwear, comfort sliders, handbags and potlis.

Today, Fizzy Goblet operates through its own D2C website and a network of 16 company-owned stores, building an omnichannel presence across India. The brand also ships internationally to markets including the US, the UK, the UAE, Canada and Australia, supporting its ambition to grow beyond India.

The company is currently operating at an annual revenue run rate of approximately ₹60 crore and is targeting a run rate of more than ₹100 crore over the next year. Its growth strategy combines category expansion, physical retail, direct-to-consumer commerce and international reach.

Kapoor’s transition from brand ambassador to investor also reflects a broader shift in India’s D2C ecosystem, where celebrities are increasingly moving beyond endorsements to become strategic investors and long-term collaborators. For consumer brands, such partnerships can bring together capital, visibility, product collaboration and deeper involvement in brand building.

Fizzy Goblet’s journey from traditional Indian footwear to a broader fashion and lifestyle portfolio highlights the evolution of homegrown D2C brands in India. With a growing retail network, expanding product categories and an established international customer base, the brand is now entering its next phase of scale.

As Fizzy Goblet targets a ₹100 crore+ annual revenue run rate, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s expanded role as a strategic investor adds another dimension to the brand’s growth story, combining design, celebrity partnership, omnichannel expansion and global ambitions.
