Avni Wellness Raises ₹4 Crore to Scale Holistic Women’s Health and Cycle Care Platform

Women’s health brand Avni Wellness has raised ₹4 crore in a seed funding round led by Proteus Partners, strengthening its plans to expand digital commerce, build its cycle nutrition portfolio and scale access to science-backed women’s wellness solutions across India.

The round also saw participation from Puru Gupta, Sreejith Moolayil, A. Velumani and Somya Nigam. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen Avni Wellness’ digital commerce engine, expand its presence across marketplaces and grow its women-led micro-entrepreneur network.

Co-founded in 2021 by Sujata Pawar and Apurv Agarwal, Avni Wellness is building a holistic cycle care platform designed to support women across different phases of life, from adolescence to menopause. The brand operates at the intersection of women’s health, livelihood and sustainability, with a focus on addressing often-overlooked concerns such as hormonal health, nutrition and long-term well-being.

Its expanding portfolio reflects this lifecycle approach. Avni Wellness offers a patented antimicrobial reusable pad and a liposomal iron supplement designed for improved nutrient absorption and to address widespread iron deficiency among Indian women. The brand has also developed solutions across PCOS care, calcium support, UTI and vaginal health, and seed-based hormonal nutrition.

The latest investment will help Avni Wellness deepen this product strategy by expanding its cycle nutrition portfolio while strengthening its digital-first distribution model. The company also plans to scale its marketplace presence, creating wider access to its women’s health and wellness products.

A key part of the brand’s growth strategy is its women-led micro-entrepreneur network. By expanding this network alongside its digital commerce business, Avni Wellness is building a model that connects women’s health, economic participation and sustainable product choices.

The company is scaling within a growing category. According to the market research cited by the brand, India’s feminine hygiene products market is projected to reach ₹70.20 billion by 2025, highlighting the broader opportunity for brands building specialised solutions around women’s wellness.

As demand grows for science-backed, toxin-free and personalised healthcare solutions, Avni Wellness is positioning itself beyond conventional feminine hygiene. With a portfolio spanning cycle care, hormonal nutrition and preventive wellness, the brand is building a comprehensive women’s health ecosystem for long-term care across life stages.
