Led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital, the round will fuel brand building, distribution, R&D and new products as Nua expands its women’s wellness ecosystem.
Mumbai-based women’s wellness brand Nua has raised $50 million in Series C funding, led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital, with participation from existing investors Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures. The round includes both primary and secondary capital, providing partial exits to Kae Capital, Lightbox VC and existing angel investors.
With the latest fundraise, Nua has raised approximately $71.5 million to date. The company had previously secured $4 million in a pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025.
Nua plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen brand building, expand distribution and consumer reach, and invest in research and development and new product development. The funding comes as the company looks to build a broader women’s wellness platform spanning both physical products and digital services.
Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, Nua operates across period care, maternity care and everyday intimate wellness. The company says it currently reaches more than 3 million women and girls every month, reflecting the scale of its consumer base.
According to Peak XV Partners, Nua has emerged as the second-largest online player in India’s women’s wellness category. The company also claims to have increased its annualised revenue run rate from ₹100 crore to ₹500 crore over the past 24 months, while remaining profitable.
Nua’s proposition extends beyond physical wellness products. The company has developed digital offerings including the Nua Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat, allowing it to engage consumers across different aspects of women’s health and wellness.
The latest funding will support Nua’s plans to deepen its presence across the category while developing a wider portfolio of products and digital services around the evolving needs of women and girls.
The $50 million Series C also ranks among the larger funding rounds in India’s women’s hygiene startup ecosystem, surpassing Pee Safe’s $32 million funding round earlier this year.
Nua competes with established brands including Whisper, Stayfree and Sofy, while its digital-first approach gives it an opportunity to build stronger direct relationships with consumers.
As the women’s wellness market evolves beyond traditional period-care products, Nua is positioning itself around a broader consumer proposition combining period care, maternity care, intimate wellness, digital tools and community-led engagement.
With fresh capital, a ₹500 crore annualised revenue run rate and a growing consumer base, Nua is entering its next phase focused on expanding distribution, strengthening its brand and developing new products for women and girls.
