Cantabil Targets ₹1,000 Crore Revenue in FY27 with 80 New Stores and Omnichannel Expansion

Fashion retailer Cantabil Retail India Limited is targeting ₹1,000 crore in revenue during FY27, building on its strongest financial performance to date. The company’s growth strategy combines retail expansion, larger store formats, category diversification, and omnichannel development as it strengthens its position in India’s organised apparel market.

Cantabil reported FY26 revenue of ₹852.6 crore, reflecting 18 percent year-on-year growth, marking the highest annual revenue in the company’s history. The momentum has continued into the current financial year with a strong first-quarter performance.

During Q1 FY27, revenue from operations increased 13 percent year-on-year to ₹178.8 crore, while EBITDA rose 21 percent to ₹59.4 crore. EBITDA margin improved to 33.2 percent, compared to 30.8 percent in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting stronger operating efficiency. Profit after tax (PAT) also increased 11 percent to ₹16.3 crore.

The company additionally reported same-store sales growth of 4.04 percent, highlighting healthy demand across its existing retail network. Over the past five years, Cantabil has delivered a 22 percent revenue CAGR and a 26 percent PAT CAGR, demonstrating consistent long-term growth.

Retail expansion remains at the centre of Cantabil’s strategy. The company currently operates 667 stores covering approximately 9.42 lakh square feet of retail space across India. During FY27, it plans to open 80 new stores, primarily across Tier I and Tier II cities, while increasing its focus on larger retail formats.

As part of this strategy, Cantabil recently launched its largest-ever store in Karol Bagh, Delhi, spanning 8,000 square feet, more than double the size of its previous largest outlet. According to the company, larger formats are delivering encouraging results by improving product visibility and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Beyond its core menswear business, Cantabil continues expanding across women’s wear, kids’ wear, footwear, fashion accessories, and e-commerce. The women’s and kids’ segments currently account for around 67 exclusive stores, supporting the company’s broader category diversification strategy.

Looking ahead, Cantabil plans to enter the South Indian market in the next financial year while refining its product portfolio to attract younger consumers. New offerings featuring stretchable fabrics, wrinkle-resistant apparel, bold prints, and casual fashion styles are designed to strengthen the brand’s appeal among Gen Z shoppers.

With strong financial performance, disciplined retail expansion, an evolving product portfolio, and a growing omnichannel presence, Cantabil is positioning itself for its next phase of growth as it works toward achieving the ₹1,000 crore revenue milestone in FY27.
