DocPharma Raises $2 Mn to Scale Quick-Commerce Healthcare Network

The healthcare supply chain startup will expand to 50 cities and add 100 licensed dark stores as demand grows for faster medicine and healthcare deliveries.

Healthcare supply chain startup DocPharma has raised $2 million (₹19 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Equentis, with participation from existing backer 100Unicorns, Vinners and several undisclosed angel investors.

The fresh capital will support DocPharma’s expansion to 50 cities across India and the addition of 100 new licensed dark stores, strengthening its backend infrastructure for healthcare businesses.

Founded in 2024 by Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai and Sagar Chauhan, DocPharma operates a quick-commerce supply chain network designed to help healthcare platforms fulfil orders without building and managing their own logistics infrastructure.

At the centre of its offering is DocPharma One, a proprietary platform combining warehouse management, inventory intelligence, order management and fulfilment operations. Its licensed dark stores stock more than 40,000 SKUs each and operate with an AI-driven, pharmacist-led compliance infrastructure.

The network serves pharmacies, health insurers, hospitals, D2C wellness and nutraceutical brands, as well as pet care businesses. Through its dark stores and technology platform, DocPharma enables partners to fulfil medicines and healthcare products in under 30 minutes.

The company currently operates across more than 12 cities and claims to have fulfilled over 8 lakh orders, with a fulfilment rate exceeding 95%.

The latest funding comes as quick commerce expands beyond groceries and food into more specialised categories, including healthcare and medicine delivery. For healthcare businesses, DocPharma is positioning its licensed dark-store network as an infrastructure layer that can provide faster fulfilment while reducing the need for partners to build their own supply chains.

The company’s expansion strategy is focused on building a wider network of compliant fulfilment centres while strengthening its technology capabilities.

“We built this supply chain rule by rule, one licensed dark store at a time, and that discipline is what lets it hold up as we scale into 50 cities,” said co-founder Shashank Rai.

DocPharma’s growth also reflects increasing activity in vertical quick commerce. Medicine delivery startup Plazza, for instance, has raised $15 million in Series A funding to strengthen its technology platform and expand its AI-led inventory and assortment capabilities.

With its latest capital infusion, DocPharma is now targeting a significantly larger geographic footprint. Expanding from over 12 cities to 50, alongside 100 additional licensed dark stores, will be central to its next phase as it builds healthcare-focused quick-commerce infrastructure for consumer-facing platforms and brands.
