P N Gadgil Jewellers Reports 52% Rise in Q1 Profit, Accelerates Retail Expansion Plans

P N Gadgil Jewellers (PNG Jewellers) reported a strong performance in the first quarter of FY27, posting a 52% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, supported by robust retail demand, higher customer footfalls, and strong same-store sales growth.

The company’s consolidated net profit rose to ₹105 crore during the June quarter, compared to ₹69 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations also increased 40% year-on-year to ₹2,413 crore, up from ₹1,715 crore in Q1 FY26.

Following the results, the company’s shares gained more than 8%, reflecting positive investor sentiment around its growth trajectory and expansion strategy.

Retail continued to be the key growth driver during the quarter. The company reported same-store sales growth (SSSG) of 46.1%, driven by healthy customer footfalls and higher transaction volumes. The retail segment contributed 78% of total revenue in Q1 FY27, compared to 70% in the corresponding quarter last year, highlighting the growing contribution of its retail business.

Alongside improving the productivity of its existing stores, the company continued work on site identification, franchise partner onboarding, and operational readiness for its next phase of expansion. Its retail growth strategy remains focused on northern and central India.

As of June 30, 2026, P N Gadgil Jewellers operated 78 stores, including 77 stores across India and one store in the United States. The company plans to open a few new stores during the second quarter of FY27, while the majority of its expansion is scheduled for the third and fourth quarters, in line with its phased rollout strategy.

The latest quarterly performance underscores the company’s continued focus on strengthening its retail presence while capitalising on sustained consumer demand in the jewellery market. With strong same-store sales, an expanding retail contribution, and a planned increase in store count, P N Gadgil Jewellers is positioning itself for continued growth through the remainder of FY27.
