Deepinder Goyal’s Temple Doubles Valuation to $375 Million, Launches First ESOP Liquidity Programme

Temple, the healthtech startup founded by Deepinder Goyal, has nearly doubled its valuation to $375 million following a secondary share sale while also launching its first Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) liquidity programme, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey.

The latest secondary transaction values the company at $375 million, up from its previous valuation of around $190 million, at which Temple had earlier raised $54 million.

Founded after Goyal stepped down as CEO of Eternal, Temple is building wearable technology focused on health and wellness. Its flagship product is a forehead-worn wearable device designed to measure the body’s metabolic state in real time, offering users deeper insights into their health and wellness.

The device is currently available through an early access programme and is expected to launch commercially within the next year, subject to continued product development and validation.

Alongside its valuation increase, Temple has introduced its first ESOP liquidity programme, providing employees with an opportunity to realise value from their stock options. The move reflects a broader trend among high-growth startups that are increasingly offering liquidity events to reward and retain talent before public market listings.

This year, several startups have also announced ESOP buyback and liquidity programmes, highlighting the growing importance of employee ownership as companies mature and scale.

Temple has been expanding both its team and product development efforts as it prepares for a broader commercial rollout. With a sharper focus on innovation in wearable health technology, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of wellness, consumer technology, and preventive healthcare.

The latest valuation increase and employee liquidity initiative underscore investor confidence in Temple’s long-term vision as it advances toward bringing its real-time metabolic monitoring wearable to a wider consumer market.
