Zaydn Raises $681K Seed Round to Scale Gen-Z Sneaker Business

Zaydn Steps Up Its Sneaker Game

Fresh funding fuels manufacturing, product innovation and Gen-Z growth.

Homegrown sneaker brand Zaydn has raised $681,000 in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with participation from BeyondSeed and other angel investors. The Delhi-based brand will use the fresh capital to expand inventory and production capacity, strengthen working capital, accelerate growth across its direct-to-consumer (D2C) business and key marketplaces, and invest in product development, brand building, technology and team expansion.

Founded in 2022 by Ankit Dass and later joined by co-founder Vidushi Chaudhary, Zaydn is building a digital-first sneaker brand focused on design-led, comfortable and accessible footwear for Gen-Z consumers. The company aims to address a gap between aspirational sneaker designs and accessible pricing, offering expressive, trend-led products at mass-premium price points.

Zaydn’s product proposition combines style with everyday comfort. Its sneakers feature a wide toe box, lightweight TPR soles, dual cushioning, memory foam insoles and breathable uppers. The brand also has in-house manufacturing capabilities, giving it greater control over production as it looks to scale.

The new funding is expected to support inventory expansion and higher production capacity while improving the company’s ability to meet growing demand. Zaydn also plans to strengthen its presence across D2C and marketplace channels, while allocating capital toward product development, technology, brand building and team growth. The capital also gives Zaydn room to strengthen operations as it expands customer reach across India.

The funding comes as India’s sneaker market continues to expand. Market research cited in the company’s information values the Indian sneaker market at approximately $3.2 billion in 2024 and projects it to reach $4.49 billion by 2030, representing annual growth of nearly 6%.

Zaydn operates in an increasingly competitive homegrown sneaker ecosystem. Brands including Comet, Gully Labs, Neeman’s, Thaely, Banjaaran and Bacca Bucci are developing differentiated offerings and expanding across online and offline channels. Gully Labs raised ₹8.7 crore in seed funding in 2025 before securing a ₹30 crore Series A round in January 2026, led by Saama Capital. Comet previously raised a $5.08 million Series A round led by Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, while Neeman’s and Thaely have also attracted venture backing.

With its latest seed funding, Zaydn is positioning itself to deepen manufacturing capabilities, widen distribution and build a stronger Gen-Z-focused sneaker brand. Its combination of accessible pricing, expressive design, comfort-focused construction and digital-first distribution provides the foundation for its next phase of growth.
