The branded egg company recorded strong revenue growth, but higher procurement, employee and advertising expenses weighed on profitability during the fiscal year.
Eggoz, a branded egg company operated by Nupa Technologies, reported a 39% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to Rs 180 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 130 crore in FY25. However, its net loss widened 83% to Rs 42 crore from Rs 23 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Founded in 2017 in Bihar by Abhishek Negi and Aditya Singh, Gurugram-based Eggoz follows an asset-light, farmer-led supply chain model. The company works with local poultry farmers to improve egg production, collection and distribution through technology. Its model aims to ensure fresh eggs reach retailers within 24 hours while helping farmers access better technology and wider markets.

Egg sales remained the company’s primary revenue contributor in FY26. Eggoz also earned approximately Rs 6 crore from non-operating sources, taking its total income to Rs 186 crore.
Procurement of raw materials remained the largest expense, increasing 38% to Rs 142 crore from Rs 102.7 crore in FY25. Employee benefit expenses rose 50% to Rs 30.8 crore, while advertising and promotional spending nearly tripled to Rs 30 crore from Rs 10.5 crore.
Transportation costs increased 32.2% to Rs 7.8 crore, while legal, professional and travel expenses added approximately Rs 17 crore. Consequently, total expenditure grew 48% to Rs 228 crore from Rs 154 crore.
The higher cost base affected profitability despite revenue growth. Eggoz reported an EBITDA loss of Rs 44 crore, an EBITDA margin of -24.44% and a return on capital employed (ROCE) of -40.6%. At the unit level, it spent Rs 1.27 for every rupee of operating revenue. Its cash and bank balances stood at Rs 33 crore, with current assets of Rs 45 crore as of March 2026.
Eggoz has raised over $32 million to date, including a $20 million round led by Gaja Capital in June 2025 and an $8.8 million Series B round led by IvyCap Ventures in December 2022.
