Milky Mist Q2 FY27 Revenue Grows 41.6% as EBITDA Rises 53.9%

The dairy company reported strong first-half growth, driven by value-added products, expanding demand for protein-rich offerings and improved operational efficiency.

Milky Mist Dairy Food Ltd reported a 41.6% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations in Q2 FY27, while EBITDA rose 53.9%. The company attributed its performance to stronger demand across its dairy portfolio, expansion in value-added products and improved operational efficiency. Revenue, gross profit and EBITDA reached new quarterly highs during the period.

For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations increased 42.5% year-on-year, while EBITDA grew 62.9%. Profit after tax (PAT) surged 308.4% during the six-month period. According to the company, improved profitability was supported by EBITDA expansion, loan repayments and the creation of a deferred tax asset.

Milky Mist said growth was driven by volume and value expansion across its portfolio, with its protein range emerging as a key growth segment. Higher consumption of value-added dairy products, market expansion, calibrated price increases and better capacity utilisation also contributed to its performance.

The company continued to strengthen its protein-focused portfolio during the quarter. Yogurt remained its fastest-growing category, while new product introductions expanded its offerings for consumers seeking protein-rich dairy products.

Milky Mist launched Skyr and Greek Yogurt in four-pack formats, following the introduction of High-Protein Paneer Cubes in Q1. It also added high-protein lactose-free milk to its portfolio, manufactured at existing facilities.

These launches reflect the company’s focus on expanding its value-added dairy range and responding to evolving consumer preferences. Its protein-focused offerings provide opportunities to build on demand for specialised dairy products while broadening its product mix.

Commenting on the performance, whole-time director and CEO Dr K Rathnam said the company had delivered higher revenue growth, improved margins and stronger profitability despite agricultural-sector inflation, El Niño-related impacts and geopolitical uncertainties.

Looking ahead, Milky Mist plans to scale its value-added portfolio, expand distribution and improve capacity utilisation. The company also intends to invest in milk procurement and manufacturing capabilities to support its next phase of growth.

Its continued focus on product innovation, operational efficiency and distribution expansion will be important as it works to sustain revenue growth and improve profitability in the coming quarters.
