Mother Dairy Targets ₹24,000 Crore Revenue in FY27 as It Expands Beyond Delhi-NCR and Accelerates National Growth

Mother Dairy is entering another strong growth phase as it targets revenue of more than ₹24,000 crore in FY27, reinforcing its position as one of India’s largest food and dairy companies. The ambitious target comes after the company reported a turnover of ₹20,300 crore in FY26, registering an impressive 17% year-on-year growth and crossing the ₹20,000 crore milestone for the first time.

The latest development reflects the continued momentum across India’s consumer sector and highlights how established brands are adapting to changing consumer preferences, expanding distribution networks, and strengthening omnichannel presence. While Mother Dairy is a legacy consumer brand, its growth strategy mirrors several trends seen across D2C news India, D2C business India, and the broader D2C ecosystem India, where expansion, accessibility, and customer-centric innovation continue driving growth.

The company has set a revenue growth target of approximately 20% for FY27, supported by increasing demand across dairy, edible oils, horticulture products, frozen foods, snacks, and value-added food categories. According to company leadership, the first two months of FY27 have already shown encouraging momentum, with categories such as ice cream witnessing particularly strong consumer demand.

One of the most significant aspects of Mother Dairy’s next growth chapter is its effort to expand beyond its traditional Delhi-NCR stronghold. While Delhi-NCR currently contributes around 63% of total business revenue, the company is actively working to strengthen its footprint across the rest of India. This strategy aligns with broader D2C expansion plans and evolving D2C consumer behavior India, where brands are increasingly focusing on Tier II and Tier III markets to unlock the next wave of growth.

Mother Dairy already has a presence across multiple states, including Maharashtra and Bihar, and is now exploring entry into additional markets where it currently has limited penetration. The company’s nationwide expansion strategy reflects the growing opportunity within India’s food and beverage sector, which continues to benefit from rising incomes, urbanization, and increasing demand for trusted brands.

To support this expansion, Mother Dairy is making substantial investments in manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure. The company is setting up a new dairy plant in Maharashtra, has leased a dairy facility in Hyderabad, and is developing a second dairy processing plant in Bihar. These investments demonstrate a strong focus on operational scalability and D2C supply chain innovation, ensuring the company can efficiently serve consumers across a larger geographic footprint.

Today, Mother Dairy supplies approximately 55 lakh litres of fresh milk daily, including nearly 35 lakh litres within Delhi-NCR. Its portfolio extends far beyond milk, encompassing dairy products, edible oils under the Dhara brand, and fruits, vegetables, frozen foods, snacks, pulps, and concentrates under the Safal label. This diversified portfolio allows the company to participate across multiple high-growth consumer categories while reducing dependence on a single revenue stream.

The company’s distribution reach has also expanded significantly. Mother Dairy now serves more than 95 cities across India, achieving comprehensive coverage across metro and Tier-II markets. Its infrastructure network includes nine milk-processing plants, four horticultural-processing facilities, and sixteen associated edible-oil plants, creating one of the most extensive food distribution ecosystems in the country.

Over the last five years, Mother Dairy has successfully doubled its turnover, highlighting consistent execution and strong consumer trust. In FY26, the dairy business alone contributed more than ₹15,000 crore in revenue, while edible oils and horticulture businesses accounted for nearly ₹5,000 crore.

As India’s food and beverage industry continues evolving, companies that combine strong supply chains, product diversification, operational scale, and regional expansion are expected to lead the next phase of growth. Mother Dairy’s aggressive investment in production capacity, wider market presence, and consumer-focused offerings positions it strongly within India’s rapidly expanding consumer ecosystem.
With a target of ₹24,000 crore-plus revenue in FY27, continued investments in infrastructure, and a clear strategy to strengthen its presence across India, Mother Dairy is building on its legacy while creating a foundation for sustained long-term growth in one of the country’s most competitive consumer categories.
