The Gurugram-based startup is combining trend intelligence, personalised shopping and private-label fashion to simplify discovery across India’s fragmented online fashion market.
Gurugram-based fashion discovery platform Slayd has raised ₹1.5 crore in pre-seed funding in a round led by ajvc, an early-stage fund founded by Aviral Bhatnagar. The round values the startup at approximately ₹16.66 crore post-money. Slayd will use the capital to expand its team and scale its private-label fashion business, Slayd Originals.

Founded in 2025 by IIT Roorkee alumni Sparsh Jain, Harsh Porwal and Kumar Prasang, Slayd aggregates fashion products from more than 300 marketplaces and D2C brands. The platform adds around 1 lakh new products every month, helping users discover products across multiple fashion destinations through a single platform.
Slayd uses a proprietary model that evaluates products across more than eight signals to identify emerging fashion trends. It also organises products into theme-based collections and personalised feeds, allowing users to discover relevant styles based on their interests.
The startup claims to have crossed 200,000 users, with more than 40% month-one retention. Its power users average over 10 sessions every month, while Slayd currently identifies more than 2,000 products as emerging hotsellers.
The platform is built around a gap in online fashion discovery. More than 1 lakh new apparel designs are launched every month across hundreds of fragmented e-commerce platforms, making it difficult for consumers to identify what is trending and where to find it.
“India sees more than 1 lakh new apparel designs launched every month across hundreds of fragmented e-commerce platforms. Yet shoppers still have to navigate multiple platforms to discover what’s actually trending. Slayd is building the discovery layer for this fragmented market,” said cofounder Sparsh Jain.
Alongside its discovery platform, Slayd has entered the private-label segment through Slayd Originals, which launched in beta earlier this year. The brand currently generates around 1,000 orders per month, according to the startup.
Slayd also uses its product and trend data to identify styles that could be developed under Originals. This enables the company to study consumer demand before investing in product creation.
“Our advantage is that we can identify what shoppers want before building it ourselves,” said cofounder Harsh Porwal. He added that controlling design and supply chain could help Slayd deliver high-demand styles at better prices, with improved quality and a more consistent shopping experience.
The latest funding will support team expansion and increase the scale of Slayd Originals, strengthening Slayd’s two-part model of fashion discovery and data-led private-label development.
