Kolkata-based jewellery retailer Senco Gold is targeting a turnover of ₹10,000 crore in FY27, as it accelerates store expansion, strengthens its franchise network and focuses on lightweight jewellery and younger consumers.
At its annual general meeting, MD and CEO Suvankar Sen said the company recorded turnover of ₹8,430 crore in the last fiscal year, with total revenue increasing 33% year-on-year in FY26. Senco Gold is targeting around 25% revenue growth in the current fiscal and expects a net profit of approximately ₹450 crore, equivalent to about 4.5% of its targeted turnover.

The company has set an even larger long-term target of reaching ₹20,000 crore in revenue over the next five years. Its growth strategy centres on expanding its retail footprint, increasing customer engagement and responding to changing jewellery preferences.
High gold prices have also influenced consumer behaviour. Senco Gold said old gold exchanges accounted for around 44% of total sales in FY26, as customers exchanged older jewellery to purchase new ornaments.
Lightweight jewellery is another key focus area, particularly as the company looks to attract Gen Z and younger consumers. Digital marketing will play an important role in reaching these audiences, while lower-carat collections such as 9-carat and 14-carat gold are helping the brand engage consumers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Senco Gold currently operates 201 stores, including 102 company-owned and 85 franchise-operated outlets. Its own stores generated around 60% of revenue in the last financial year, while franchise stores contributed 33% of turnover. The remaining revenue came from exports, e-commerce and corporate sales.
The company plans to add 25 more franchise stores and ultimately build a network of around 300 stores by 2031. Franchise expansion is also expected to help the company manage inventories while extending its reach.
Digital marketing and retail expansion will work alongside the brand’s broader omnichannel strategy. Senco Gold aims to strengthen its presence among younger consumers while continuing to expand through company-owned and franchise stores.
With gold prices driving exchange-led purchases and evolving consumer preferences creating new opportunities, Senco Gold is positioning its next phase of growth around accessibility, lightweight jewellery and wider retail reach.
