Truth & Hair Raises ₹5.4 Crore Seed Round to Accelerate D2C Hair Beauty Expansion

D2C hair beauty and styling brand Truth & Hair has raised ₹5.4 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), providing fresh capital to accelerate product innovation, strengthen brand positioning, and expand its distribution network.

The Gurugram-based startup will use the investment to reinforce its presence in the hair makeup and styling category, while increasing marketing initiatives and broadening access to its products across more consumer touchpoints.

Founded in 2024 by Saumya Alagh and Shailesh Singh, Truth & Hair focuses on building products beyond the traditional shampoo and conditioner segment. The brand has developed a portfolio of styling and hair makeup solutions, including the Root Touch Up Hair Mascara, 3 in 1 Curly Styler, and Flyaway Wand, catering to consumers with straight, wavy, and curly hair.

According to the company, its formulations are designed to address multiple hair textures rather than being limited to a single hair type, reflecting changing consumer preferences for more inclusive and versatile beauty products.

Truth & Hair also gained national visibility after appearing on Shark Tank India Season 5, where it secured an on-air deal offer from Varun Alagh, Co-founder of Mamaearth.

The funding comes at a time when India’s hair care and styling industry continues to witness strong growth. According to market research, the Indian hair care and styling products market was valued at $5.85 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $8.93 billion by 2029, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8%.

As demand rises for specialised, science-backed beauty products, Truth & Hair aims to make hair styling and hair makeup solutions more accessible to a wider consumer base. By investing in innovation, expanding its distribution network, and strengthening its brand presence, the company is positioning itself to capture opportunities in one of India’s fastest-growing beauty categories.
