Typsy Beauty Raises ₹20 Crore to Expand Quick Commerce, Offline Retail and Hybrid Skincare Portfolio

D2C beauty and personal care brand Typsy Beauty has raised ₹20 crore ($2.1 million) in a fresh funding round led by Saama Capital, with participation from Genesis Luxury founder Sanjay Kapoor and SRF Family Office. Existing investors, including Borderline Media founder Tanaaz Bhatia and the family offices of Havells and Eicher Motors, also participated in the round.

The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company’s quick commerce presence, expand its offline retail footprint, and accelerate growth across new product categories.

Founded in 2022 by Kairavi Bharat Ram, Shashank Tibrewal, and Shruti Gupta, Typsy Beauty develops international-grade makeup products positioned in the premium segment, with products typically priced between ₹600 and ₹900.

The brand currently offers 27 SKUs across lip, eye, face, and fragrance categories. Its products are available through the company’s D2C website, online marketplaces including Nykaa and Amazon, as well as quick commerce platforms such as Blinkit and Zepto, reflecting its omnichannel distribution strategy.

As part of its next phase of growth, Typsy Beauty plans to expand into hybrid skincare-makeup products, strengthen Spritz by Typsy, its fragrance sub-brand launched earlier this year, and introduce 10 new products over the coming months.

Commenting on the fundraise, Co-founder Shashank Tibrewal said the company has built strong business fundamentals with healthy contribution margins and a repeatable growth model across multiple marketplaces. According to him, the fresh capital will enable the brand to expand into new categories and wider distribution while maintaining disciplined growth.

The funding comes as India’s beauty and personal care sector continues to attract significant investor interest. The industry has witnessed increasing acquisition activity, with established beauty companies actively investing in or acquiring emerging D2C brands as they strengthen their premium portfolios.

According to IMARC data, India’s cosmetics market, valued at $15.46 billion in 2025, is projected to reach $25.39 billion by 2034, highlighting the long-term growth opportunity for premium beauty brands.

With fresh capital, an expanding omnichannel presence, and plans to diversify into skincare and fragrance, Typsy Beauty is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India’s rapidly evolving beauty and personal care market.
